Tommy Eliasson Winter took over as the new alpine manager for the Swedish Ski Association in the summer of 2015. Today he steps down from his post.

- It is based on passion, that you have a drive that I no longer have.

When I came home from the Olympics and took the job, I felt that I had not driven, he says to SVT Sport.

Is it your own decision?

- Yes, I have worked in the ski association for 12 years.

"People are afraid to say what they think"

SVT Sport can now reveal that there is dissatisfaction among the riders towards the management and that a meeting has been held which the riders themselves have called for.

Several of the top skiers and Ola Strömberg will participate in the meeting.

The dissatisfaction must include lack of leadership and poor communication.

But also about an environment that made skiers feel bad - and in several cases even stopped.

This must have led to a crisis meeting together with the union director Ola Strömberg.

- The trust was used up, says a skier.

- There is a strong culture of silence that we believe the management has created.

People are afraid to say what they think, he continues.

Eliasson Winter himself does not recognize the information about a widespread dissatisfaction among skiers.

- It is very sad to hear, I do not know about it and I do not know about the crisis meeting.

I do not have much to do with the riders, but it is very sad to hear.

My ambition is for the riders to feel as good as possible, so you will be sad to hear that, of course, he says.

"No connection at all"

Union director Ola Strömberg does not want to confirm that the meeting would have anything to do with the fact that Eliasson Winter has now ended.

- It has no connection at all.

We always do an evaluation after the season, it is not a special meeting at all, all sports within the association do so, he says to SVT Sport.

Now Karin Stolt Halvarsson joins as acting alpine manager and at the same time a recruitment process begins.
