Ancelotti leads Real Madrid against Chelsea after recovering from Corona

Real Madrid will face its English host Chelsea later today in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals, in the presence of its Italian coach, Carlo Ancelotti, who has recovered from the new Corona virus.

Ancelotti was infected last week and missed Real's 2-1 victory over Celta Vigo in the Spanish League a few days ago.

Ancelotti was expected to miss the match hosted by Stamford Bridge later in the day.

But Real Madrid announced today, Wednesday, that Ancelotti is on his way to London to catch up with the team’s mission, after he tested negative for the Corona virus.

"Real Madrid is happy to announce that our coach, Carlo Ancelotti, has tested negative for the new coronavirus, and therefore will travel to London this morning to join the first team," Real Madrid said in its statement.

Real Madrid is looking for its first victory in six confrontations against Chelsea, which toppled the royal club from the last edition.
