Team Niklas Edin defeated Finnish team Kalle Kiiskinen in the curling WC in Las Vegas.

After only six rounds and the score 7-2 to the Swedes, the Finns chose to give up the match.

The reigning world and Olympic champions in team Edin have had a tough start to the World Cup.

After a win in the first meeting against Switzerland, they lost four games in a row before Denmark was defeated on Monday.

With the win over Finland, the Swedes are now in third place in the table.

- It felt easy to play, the form is definitely good, said a satisfied Niklas Edin afterwards.

The first and second after the basic series go directly to the semifinals, while teams placed in places three to six make it to the quarterfinals.

Team Edin has seven matches left in the basic round as all teams meet each other.
