Sweden won 18 medals at the Olympic Games in Beijing earlier this year and thus made its best Winter Olympics of all time.

But despite that, there are details to hone in on.

- There are some parts that affect narrow skis, ie length and biathlon.

We do not perform at the level of capacity, says Peter Reinebo, operations manager at the Swedish Olympic Committee (SOK), to SVT Sport.

SOK is currently evaluating the Beijing Olympics and according to Reinebo, there are three concrete question marks, all linked to the results in length and biathlon, to review.

- One is the height.

How did we succeed in the preparations?

We have quite a few younger or more inexperienced active at high altitude and it is clear that high altitude affects performance.

There we have to dive a little more, he says.

Not the best skis

The second question mark is about the skis.

- You could see that with the naked eye.

In no race in biathlon and cross-country skiing did we have the best skis.

It was a bit different for different active people because not everyone rides on the exact same skis, of course, says Reinebo and continues:

- We have had the Olympics where we have subsequently been able to state that we probably had the best skis in some races or even in the total.

We were able to state this at Olympics 10, 14 and 18. That evaluation is to be done now, but for me it is already a question mark.

I do not have the image in this situation that we had the best skis of all countries, at least not in the majority of the races.

"Must look over the whole season"

The third question mark is about nutrition and recovery, which according to Reinebo was affected by several factors.

- It was a long journey, it was high altitude and these are very energy-intensive branches.

In addition, a certain habit of being at high altitude and that we all had a fairly confined living there.

How different individuals managed to get the amount they needed and the right things for recovery, it is also a question mark.

In biathlon, Reinebo highlights another question mark.

- It's the shooter.

And here we have to look over the whole season.

Because it's not like you shoot like that just because it's windy, it's windy for the other biathletes too.

The hit rate this year has not been a good thing in general.

There are a few who have shot better, but shooting is a question mark for some individuals.
