An arbitration expert clarifies the eligibility of the Egyptian Al-Ahly with two penalty kicks against the Sudanese Al-Hilal

The former international referee and current arbitration expert, Nasser Abbas, confirmed that Al-Ahly of Egypt deserved to get two penalties in the match that brought it together on Sunday with Al-Hilal of Sudan in the African Champions League and ended with Al-Ahly’s victory with a clean goal, signed by Hussein Al-Shahat in the 74th minute.

Abbas said on the Al-Ahly satellite channel: "Al-Ahly deserved a correct penalty kick, one million percent, as a result of obstructing the player Ahmed Abdel Qader."

He added: "A clear and very easy penalty kick, but the referee (Zambian Gani Sikazwe) did not award it because of his poor positioning."

He explained: "Percy Tao deserved another penalty as a result of the payment in the penalty area by the Sudanese Al Hilal player, and the assistant referee did not play his role in this game."
