Sudan's Al-Merreikh loses 3-0 in the African Champions League

South Africa's Sun Downs ended its campaign in the first group stage of the African Champions League, with a 3-0 victory over its Sudanese guest, Al-Merreikh, today, Saturday, in the sixth and final round of the group.

Mallolika advanced to Sun Downs in the 15th minute, before his colleague Ralani added the second goal in the 66th minute


. In the 72nd minute, Kermit Erasmus scored the third goal for Sun Downs.


The South African team raised its score to 16 points at the top of the group, as it had ensured its rise to the quarter-finals earlier, while Al-Marikh's balance froze at four points in the fourth and last place in the group.


It is noteworthy that the group also includes the Egyptian Al-Ahly and Al-Hilal Sudanese teams, who will meet tomorrow, Sunday, in the competitions of the same round.
