Tunisia also clinched their ticket to the competition, after much tighter play-offs against Mali.

Only one goal was scored in this double confrontation, a csc from Malian Moussa Sissako on the way to Bamako (0-1).

Tuesday evening, in Radès, the two teams neutralized each other (0-0).

The Malians were denied a goal at the start of the game (4th), for an offside by Abdoulaye Diaby.

Ghana qualify after two draws

Another qualifier: Ghana, again after two very close matches against Nigeria.

The Blacks Stars return to the World Cup after eight years of absence thanks to a draw away (1-1) in Nigeria, after the 0-0 first leg.

With this away goal counting double (the rule is still in force in the African zone), signed by captain Thomas Partey (10th), Jordan Ayew's teammates eliminated the Super Eagles, who could only equalize by William Troost-Ekong (22nd).

The Nigerians will not play a seventh final phase of the World Cup.
