“My remission after the [bone marrow transplant in October 2019] was great, but unfortunately these diseases are sneaky (...).
The latest analyzes have revealed a risk of relapse,” explained the Serb during a press conference.
“To avoid it, I will have to follow a therapeutic course (…).
This time I will not make a sliding tackle on a thrown opponent, I will anticipate so as not to let him go, ”he joked.
The former Yugoslavian international, an excellent free-kick taker who notably played for Lazio Rome and Sampdoria in Genoa, will be admitted next week to Sant'Orsola Hospital in Bologna.
The technician had announced in mid-2019 that he suffered from leukemia.
