The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dubai Racing Club praised the high level of the auction, extending thanks and appreciation to everyone who contributed to its success in its first edition and said: “The auction was distinguished by the strength of competition, and we thank the Govez team, horse owners, and buyers, for the great effort and support they provided, at the beginning of the auction. As part of the auction, which was organized in cooperation with "Goughs", the first horse offered by MC Thoroughreds, son of the stallion "Green Runner" and the second category-winning mare "Bank Auditt", won a price of 1.4 million dirhams provided by Dr. Jim Hay, who is a long-time owner of horses. But he came to Dubai recently to put his horses under the supervision of Bubat Simar, who would welcome the foals at Zabeel Stables.


Owner Hay said: "I think the concept of this auction is really cool and I know the Gooses Foundation has wanted to hold it in Dubai for a long time, and we got a fine-bred horse after looking for horses that will perform on sand in Dubai, and we also got three new horses at Ocala auction this week. The auction list included mainly 72 horses, with a wide range of stallions such as "Frankel" whose son was the first to break the mark of 2 million dirhams at a price of 2.1 million dirhams for the son of the mare "Noel", the mother of the winning "Lilys Engel" in Meydan, and the Big Red farm got Farm on the horse with Hirokazu Okada representing the farm, while John Cullinan of Church Farm and Horse Park Stud put the horse up for sale.


Cullinan said: 'We had a wonderful evening in Dubai, sold a Pony of Tapichor and a Mastery, then got this wonderful horse so we are very pleased and lucky. Some of our friends got it when it was a floe and they didn't sell it when it was one year old. "There was a lot of pressure but he's a great horse. These are horses for next year and we trained them accordingly, he ran a little bit and Roger Marley followed it all but this horse is talented by nature and his physique has improved."

After 15 sales following Cullinan's horse, the auction reached number 45, which fetched the highest price with the son of "Kerlin" champion of the 2008 edition of the Dubai World Cup and the mare "Susie Diem", winner of two races, bringing the dowry presented by Powerstown Stud 2.5 million dirhams to the buyer Mohammed Al-Sabousi.


The horse No. 40 was among the most prominent horses offered at the auction, the son of the stallion "Kingman" and the mare "Rascutani", a half-brother of the "Global Heat" winner in Meydan, after Peter and Ross Doyle paid $ 2 million to get it, while the filly was Number 24 is the only descendant of "Dabawi" in the auction, and her mother is "Joyful Hope", the winner of two races, and the filly was sold for 1.4 million dirhams to Youssef Salem Saeed Saqr Al Kaabi.
