Wales star Gareth Bale has rarely played for Real Madrid this season due to a string of injuries, yet he looks fully fit upon his return to international duty with his country.

The striker seemed happy and smiling when he met his colleagues in the national team in training the day before yesterday, Monday, after participating in a few matches with the royal team.

Bale usually sits on the bench, but Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti deliberately ignores the former Tottenham star in favor of other players.

Wales is preparing to face Austria in the decisive European play-off for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, tomorrow, Thursday. The official account of the Welsh national team - on Twitter - shared a picture of Bale with his former teammate in Tottenham Joe Rodon, and attached the photo with the phrase "The Welsh Mafia is back."

The situation did not go well with the fans of "Los Blancos", because it is not the first or second time that Bale is not available for his club, but he suddenly appears healthy with his country's national team.

Since last September, Bale has played 232 minutes in 4 matches with Wales, and 270 minutes in 5 matches with Real.

And if he plays tomorrow 48 minutes in the national team shirt, he will have played more with the Wales national team than he played with Real Madrid this season.

It's been a good week of preparation 💪#TogetherStronger pic.twitter.com/v2CtQwDF22
