Already in the first round, the home team Canada, led by skipper Kerri Einarson went up to 3-0 against Sweden's team Anna Hasselborg.

Two rounds later, Canada led 5-0, and it looked very dark.

Canada flawless in the beginning

But after a Swedish third in the sixth round, and a reduction to 5-8 and a "stolen" point in the round thereafter, it was suddenly a match again.

The Canadian team, which was basically flawless during the first half of the match, suddenly showed some nerves and offered some misses - while the Swedish team offered some really nice stones.

Last stone for short

After a second in the ninth round, Sweden was suddenly one point behind Canada before the tenth round.

But in the tenth round, Canada did what they were supposed to.

Canada made it difficult for Sweden, and when Anna Hasselborg's last stone was a little too short, it meant that Canada won the match 10-8.

"Fantastically good"

Despite the loss, the Swedish team was hailed by SVT Sports expert Eva Lund, who was very impressed with the Swedish pick-up.

- Damn how proud you are anyway!

I think the Swedish girls are fantastically good, she says.

The result means that it can now be a thriller in the battle for playoff spots.

Sweden is in third place, one victory less than the two semifinal teams and two victories more than Japan, which is closest to the playoffs.
