Pogba steals his World Cup medal

France midfielder Paul Pogba said his World Cup winning medal was stolen, among several items stolen during a burglary at his home last week.

Pogba's house was burgled on March 15 while his two children were sleeping, as the incident occurred during the Manchester United match against Atletico Madrid at Old Trafford in the Champions League.

The 29-year-old won the 2018 World Cup with France after defeating Croatia in the final in Russia.

"There was my mother's jewelry and the World Cup medal," Pogba told French newspaper Le Figaro on Tuesday.

"The thing that frightened me the most was the presence of the two children at home with the nanny during the incident," he added.

"I listened to what happened and called my wife and security and then closed the room with the two children. She was in shock for several days. The most important thing is that the two children are fine."

Pogba joined the France squad for a friendly match against Ivory Coast next Friday, and another against South Africa on March 29.
