No one could beat Frida Karlsson in the Swedish Championship premiere of the 10 kilometer classic.

The 22-year-old opened strongly and had a lead of 20 seconds towards the middle of the race.

With just under three kilometers left, she looked like she was hooking something but still managed to finish as number one, with a margin of ten seconds down to Ebba Andersson.

"Responds much better"

The victory means that Karlsson has won his first Swedish Championship gold, and his first Swedish Championship medal, in his career.

- I feel that the body responds much better now, then it will be so much fun to go too.

It was a bit eager there in the start but I had to bite in on the second lap and I kept it in goal so it was still a winning concept I think, says the Sollefteå skier.

How nice is the receipt?

- Super nice.

I have struggled now for quite a long time and to recognize myself ... It's so fun to ski and be here with the club, there is nothing better and I have really had super skis.

"Feels great"

Behind that, Charlotte Kalla was able to collect another Swedish Championship medal when she took the bronze in the premiere of her last championship.

- It feels fantastic.

Shit, what weather Piteå offers.

We have had good skis too, the wall team has done a great job.

And even though it is a Wednesday in the middle of the week, it is a good pressure from those who have gone out here to cheer, says Kalla.
