Charlotte Kalla's grandfather Bengt, 85, aroused the interest in skiing for Charlotte from Tärendö.

Now the grandson's extremely successful skiing career is soon over.

- When I have thought about it, I have thought that it is probably the last year she goes.

They have almost been prepared for it, says Bengt Kalla to SVT Sport.

"Boring"

How did you feel when you heard about the message?

- It's sad to hear.

But what to do?

She has to think about herself, it's like she's getting older and she has to work on other things.

How has it been to follow her?

- It has been fun of course.

What is your favorite memory?

- It is a lot.

She has won the biggest medals, and is Sweden's most successful.

Will you see her last race on site in Piteå?

- No, it will be on TV.

SVT broadcasts the Swedish Championships in Piteå.
