Dutch club Ajax Amsterdam announced today, Tuesday, that Cameroon goalkeeper Andre Onana miraculously escaped from a massive traffic accident without suffering serious injuries, while on his way to join the national team camp.

Onana, who is likely to move to Inter Milan on a free transfer at the end of the season, was on his way from the Cameroonian capital Yaounde to the coastal city of Douala, where the Cameroon national team camp is being held before facing Algeria in the final qualifiers for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

And the media published pictures of the car in which Onana was traveling, as well as a picture of another bus, where the front of the two vehicles was severely damaged.

Onana, 25, was taken from the scene of the accident to the camp of the Cameroon Lions national team, and photographs were taken of him without showing traces of injuries, but despite that he must go to the hospital to undergo a medical examination.

The Cameroon national team will host its Algerian counterpart next Friday in the first leg, with the return match between them in Blida next Tuesday, and the winner of them will qualify directly for the World Cup in Qatar.
