Set the time back to a month ago.

On February 18, local time, the International Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) issued an announcement on its official website saying that due to the violation of relevant anti-doping regulations by British track and field athlete Jijindu-Uja, the British team in the men's 4×100-meter relay event of the Tokyo Olympics was banned. Qualifications will be disqualified and medals etc. will be withdrawn.

In the men's 4×100m relay final at the Tokyo Olympics on August 6, 2021, the Italian team won the championship, and the British team crossed the finish line second.

The Chinese team, consisting of Tang Xingqiang, Xie Zhenye, Su Bingtian, and Wu Zhiqiang, finished the race in 37.79 seconds, trailing only 0.09 seconds behind the Canadian team, ranking fourth and missing the podium.

However, a few days after the game, the international testing agency announced that Uja, a member of the British relay team, had tested positive for a urine sample from a bottle of A, and the relevant samples were collected after the relay final.

Uja then applied for a bottle B test, but the results released in mid-September last year showed that his urine sample from bottle B was still positive.

The two positive results mean Uja's doping test samples contained prohibited ingredients.

The international testing agency immediately referred the incident to the Anti-Doping Department of the International Court of Arbitration for Sport.

The agency will rule on whether Uja constituted a doping violation and whether Britain's relay silver medal will be withdrawn.

After about five months of waiting, the International Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) finally released the relevant results.

As expected, Uja was found to be in violation of doping violations, and the British team's results were also cancelled.

As the IAAF website has updated the information cards of the four Chinese athletes, it means that they have confirmed that the Chinese relay team won the bronze medal in the men's 4X100m relay at the Tokyo Olympics.

However, at present, the information about the Chinese team on the official website of the International Olympic Committee has not changed, and we still need to continue to wait.

Fairness has always been the pursuit of the Olympic Games, and I believe that time will give a fair answer in the end.

We accompany Su Bingtian, Tang Xingqiang, Xie Zhenye, Wu Zhiqiang, and wait with the Chinese team!
