The riot in the mass start in Holmenkollen stirred emotions.

Linn Persson did a giant race and sprinted past Elvira Öberg in the race and finished fourth.

The aftermath, however, was about Elvira Öberg losing the victory in the mass start cup because Justine Braisaz-Bouchet won the race and took home the overall victory.

The day after the competition, Linn Persson has received many reactions.

She says that many have congratulated her on a good race, but it has also been part of the second item.

- There have been a lot of pretty nasty messages, says Linn Persson.

What kind of messages are they?

- That I simply made a mistake.

What perhaps feels most difficult is that people think that I somehow do not treat Elvira to that victory, which is absolutely not true because I really do.

It is clear that I feel and understand that it feels snobby and boring.

It's very sad that other people think that about me because that's not how it is at all, she says.

How does it feel to receive such?

- Of course it feels very boring.

The positive comments are great fun because it's always fun to hear people sitting and cheering, congratulating and rejoicing with one.

Of course, getting negative comments is never fun, no one likes to get nasty messages.

Then the question is why you want to send such?

I can not answer that, it's me who gets to receive it instead.

Did not know

When Linn Persson entered the riot, she had no idea that coffin the scenario that occurred could happen.

- I did not know that.

I knew it was between Elvira and Dorothea Wierer, that was what I had heard.

During the riot, I thought that it looks good and that one can hope that it is enough.

I knew Wierer was behind us, she says and continues:

- I did not know that it was a battle for that victory.

There was no information we received either.

It was probably easier to see it from the TV couch when you get the information out and can count on it.

But there is nothing we can do when we go.

"Do we want to go there?"

Should you have received that information during the race?

- It will be a completely different question.

Then the question is in case you are going to team drive and it is not something we have done before.

Is that where we want to go?

That you get involved in sports.

This is not how biathlon works and then the question is whether you want to go in the direction of some other sports?

This is a much bigger question that I can not answer.

How has the conversation been with Elvira afterwards?

- We both know how a competition goes and how it works.

I understand that she is disappointed that she did not take that sprint, at the same time you know that you do what you can.

Everyone does.

There are no hard feelings at all, it's calm, says Persson.
