The Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, welcomed the volunteers participating in the World Cup to be hosted by Qatar later this year.
Sheikh Tamim said on Twitter, "I welcome all the volunteers of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, and I wish them and those who will participate in the first tournament of its kind in our region a unique experience through which they discover the richness and tolerance of our Arab culture and the keenness to build bridges of communication with different cultures And the peoples, and this is one of our main goals in hosting the tournament.”

The tweet of the Emir of Qatar came in conjunction with the announcement by the International Football Association "FIFA" (FIFA) to open the door for applications to participate in the volunteer program for the World Cup 2022, during a special celebration in the open theater in Katara Cultural Village in Doha.
A number of distinguished guests, including a number of football legends, participated in the ceremony, and those interested were invited to register for the largest volunteer activity in the history of Qatar.
The next edition of the Football World Cup will witness the participation of 20,000 volunteers, who will work in 45 operational aspects in sites associated with the tournament, such as stadiums, training centers, airports, fan areas, hotels and public transportation centers.

FIFA stated that the Qatar World Cup will witness the presence of a full team of volunteers who will work behind the scenes behind every ticket, every television clip, every match and every goal, and they represent a cornerstone of the overall process that will allow enjoying a friendly and fun atmosphere during the World Cup, and they will provide tremendous support in the implementation of operations operational during the most prominent sporting event.
The conditions for applying for volunteering stipulate that the applicant must be at least 18 years old by October 1, 2022, with good command of the English language, and speaking Arabic gives the applicant an additional advantage.
No prior experience is required for applicants, and candidates from all backgrounds and from all parts of the world are welcome.

Although the Qatar 2022 World Cup will start on November 21 and continue until December 18, 2022, some volunteer roles will start from October 1.
