Before last season, Victor Edvardsen was close to signing for AIK, a controversial choice in many ways.

Edvardsen grew up in Gothenburg as a supporter and he represented "Blåvitt" at the youth level.

The rumors of a transfer to the competitor AIK did not land well with the supporters of both teams.

In addition, Degerfors was not eager to sell its striker.

Today he looks back on a tough time with a lot of hatred and threats from outside.

"Became a driving force"

- Some things hit hard.

But all the hatred I received from outside, I turned to something positive.

It became a driving force.

I wanted to show that what you write… you get a slap in the face back and it went pretty well.

- Then I do not think that Degerfors would have played in the Allsvenskan this year if I was not there last year, he says.

How happy are you that the transfer to AIK never happened?

- Considering that I am from Gothenburg and their history.

It's pure hatred as well.

- There was a lot of hatred and writing last year.

Then I probably would not have broken through in the same way if I had left Degerfors.

I'm very happy that I'm the one in the colors I'm in today.

"Good place"

How are you today?

- I'm in a good place in life.

Has signed for one of Sweden's biggest clubs and life on the side is going well.

It's easy to be in my life right now.
