Lee Sang-ho (27, High1), who became the first Korean athlete to win the FIS World Cup season overall, said, "I wanted to win in all events, but it feels good." "Thanks to those who helped."

Lee Sang-ho won the bronze medal in the men's parallel slew of the 2021-2022 FIS World Cup Snowboard Alpine held in Berchtesgaden, Germany on the 19th.

With this, Lee Sang-ho obtained 604 ranking points in the men's overall ranking of the 2021-2022 season Alpine Snowboard World Cup, and finished the season in first place, beating Stefan Baumeister (Germany) with 506 points.

Lee Sang-ho is the first Korean player to top the season overall at the FIS World Cup.

Lee Sang-ho finished second in both parallel rotation and parallel competition, which are detailed events, and took first place in the combined scores of both events, achieving the overall snowboarding alpine championship in the 2021-2022 season.

If he had swept down to first place in the sub-division, he could have won the third season, but that's something he's looking forward to next season.

Through the Korea Ski Association, Lee Sang-ho said, "I am very happy to have achieved a good result of the overall season championship."

Lee Sang-ho, who placed 5th at the Beijing Winter Olympics in February this year, is a skier who rewrites the history of skiing in Korea.

He won a silver medal at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, becoming the first Olympic medalist in 58 years since the 1960 U.S. Squaw Valley Games, when Korean skiers first competed at the Winter Olympics.

He also won a silver medal at the FIS World Cup in March 2017 to win the first FIS World Cup medal for a Korean, and also announced the news of Korea's first World Cup gold medal this season.

At the Beijing Winter Olympics in February, they lost by 0.01 seconds in the quarterfinals and unfortunately failed to qualify for the medal, but added a meaningful record of winning the World Cup season overall.

Lee Sang-ho's results at this season's World Cup are 1 gold medal, 2 silver medals, and 4 bronze medals (including 1 mixed team event).

In particular, it is encouraging that after experiencing a period of stagnation for a while after shoulder surgery in January 2020, it has revived splendidly this season.

Born in Sabuk, Gangwon-do, Lee Sang-ho, nicknamed 'Chinese cabbage boy' because he first snowboarded at a sledding rink in an improved high-altitude cabbage field when he was a freshman in elementary school, finished the 2021-2022 season to finish.
