Chelsea coach: We are concerned because of a situation we did not cause

Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel said that he is happy with the performance and focus of his team, which qualified for the semi-finals of the FA Cup last night, after winning 2-0 at Middlesbrough, despite all the problems surrounding the club and its Russian owner Roman Abramovich after his country invaded neighboring Ukraine. But he does not hide the "feeling of anxiety because of a complicated situation that they did not cause."

After the invasion, Abramovich offered the club for sale before the British government imposed sanctions on him, effectively depriving him of running the club.

After winning and qualifying for the semi-finals, the German coach said, "I was pleased with the players' performance and did not surprise me. On the one hand, we realize that we did not cause this situation and we cannot do anything about the situation either, and we cannot change the situation in any way."

"I feel responsible for these people who are out of the limelight and who are worried," Tuchel added. "My players and coaching staff are in good shape but we're concerned...there are between 700 and 800 people who work at Chelsea and they probably have an existential concern about what might happen to the club."

And the coach added, "I feel a responsibility towards them as well, and everyone must show the appropriate and positive spirit, in a situation that we did not cause and we cannot change."
