Felix Rosenqvist, 30, impressed as a newcomer in Indycar 2019 and the following year he took his only victory so far in his career.

But last year got heavier.

Rosenqvist did not really get it during the year and was also involved in a serious crash.

This year's premiere in St. Petersburg, Florida was also of the worse kind.

Rosenqvist finished in 17th place, far from the lead.

But maybe it's turning around now.

On the oval track Texas Motor Speedway, the Swede was the fastest of all in the qualifiers and starts at the front in Sunday's race.

- I knew the yard as well as I could do it.

It was hard to wait.

This is big for the team and for myself, it's a big self-confidence boost.

A great comeback after a tough time.

I'm really happy for my whole team, says Rosenqvist.

The starting field's second Swede, Marcus Ericsson, starts as number 14.
