Ghanaian Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey converted to Islam, according to photos published by the "Muslim Atlas" account on Instagram.

And the account specialized in the news of specialized athletes published a picture of what appears to be a clergyman, accompanied by the Ghanaian international, commenting on it, "Thomas Barty converts to Islam today.. God bless my brother."

Barty appeared in the picture holding the Koran and smiling, and Barty has not yet commented on the news on his pages on the social networking sites.

The 28-year-old joined the Gunners in the summer of 2020 from Atletico Madrid.

It is noteworthy that the 28-year-old Ghanaian international moved to Arsenal from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2020, with a 5-year contract, in a deal worth 50 million euros.

He scored two goals in 57 matches he played for the Gunners.

Thomas Partey participated with his country in the last African Cup of Nations, in which Ghana was eliminated from the group stage.

Barty is the second football star to convert to Islam in a few weeks, after Dutch star and former coach Clarence Seedorf.
