After an even first half, Edsbyn connected the grip on the Swedish Championship final when Mattias Hammarström sent in 5-3 on a corner in the 54th minute.

Not entirely fair considering that Villa Lidköping was the team that created the most during the start of the second half.

With 65 minutes played, Christoffer Edlund could have brought this one home for Henrik Karlström as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high.

Villa, however, did not give up and continued to create hot goal chances and with a quarter left to play, it was reduced after Johan Löfstedt cranked the ball straight up into the net in connection with a corner.

The ending was dramatic.

Both Löfstedt and Broberg missed great positions for Villa and they shook one corner after another, a total of 16 throughout the match, but the ball did not want to get behind Karlström in the goal and thus Edsbyn could salvage the club's 13th Swedish Championship gold through the ages.
