Claudia Payton stood for the best race of her life in the test heat of 60 meters in the indoor WC in Belgrade.

The Swede ran at 7.21, which was also enough for a semifinal place.

- I am so happy.

I have hardly any words and am just very happy, she says.

Payton has had some minor problems in recent days with migraines and feelings.

But apparently there was nothing that affected the 23-year-old today.

- I had had some small problems the last two days so it did not feel great, but earlier this week felt extremely good.

If I could get that feeling for today, then it can go well.

I got it and now I just have to run even faster, she says.

Can run faster

Was it close to a perfect race do you have more in you?

- I think there is more.

I have not watched the race but it felt like the transition to top speed was a bit stiff.

So I think if I dare to relax and push more, it can go even faster.

Now the semi-final awaits Payton in his World Cup debut, who in his teens risked amputation of one leg after a serious accident during a football match.

- Now I'm going home, have lunch and then eat my freshly baked scones.

Then it's time to drive again, she says.
