FC Barcelona is in the quarter-finals of the Europa League.

Thanks to goals from Pedri (37th minute) and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (49th), the Catalans prevailed 2-1 (2-1) in the round of 16 second leg at Galatasaray Istanbul after the first leg had ended goalless.

Marcao put the Turkish record champions ahead in the 37th minute on Thursday.

Meanwhile, AS Monaco and former Bundesliga professionals Kevin Volland and Alexander Nübel were eliminated.

After the 0:2 in the first leg, a 1:1 (0:1) against SC Braga was not enough for the Monegasques to advance.

Glasgow Rangers also advanced to the next round.

The Scots lost 1:2 (0:1) against Red Star Belgrade, but had secured a good starting position with the 3:0 win in the first duel.

Bundesliga club Rasenballsport Leipzig are also in the quarter-finals after opponents Spartak Moscow were ruled out of the competition because of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Led by the strong Mario Götze, Dutch top-flight club PSV Eindhoven have advanced to the quarter-finals of the Conference League.

The former Bundesliga professional prepared the opening goal in the 4-0 (2-0) win at FC Copenhagen and also scored the 2-0.

Eindhoven dominated the entire game on Thursday and, like in the first leg (4-4), scored four goals.

Götze prepared Eran Zahavi for the lead in the 10th minute.

His goal (38') shortly before the break benefited from the preparatory work of former Bundesliga professional Philipp Max. Zahavi scored again after the break (79'), before Nonso Madueke (90' + 1) scored the final score in added time.
