The Tunisian Football Association announced today, Monday, the detection of suspicions of fraud in sports betting competitions, aimed at affecting the outcome of a match in the second division.

And he stated - in his statement - that he had collected data on 6 people suspected of participating in sports betting, including Abdel-Raouf Harzli, Al-Nisr Athletic Player in Teblba (Third Division) and a former player in the Olympic Club for Transport, in addition to a former official in the Future Club of Gabes.

The Federation decided to refer the file of the match in question - which gathered yesterday the Al-Amal Sports Clubs in Djerba and Jendouba Sports - to the Public Prosecution, and to stop Herzli from practicing any sports activity in a conservative manner.

The match ended with Al-Amal winning 3-2.

The federation said that it will take all necessary deterrent measures in accordance with the laws against every player or official, regardless of his position, capacity, or responsibility. It has been proven that he was directly or indirectly involved in a bet related to a sports match, whether through Tunisian or foreign sites or companies.

The federation's statement also clarified that it prevents any player, official or coach with an official license from participating in any sports betting.

And the Football Association had referred two files to the judiciary last season about suspicions of match-fixing, but no judicial decisions have been issued yet, according to the statement.
