Jurgen Klopp in a “vague” statement about Mohamed Salah’s contract: We can do no more

Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp spoke about the future of his Egyptian star, Mohamed Salah, stressing that the club "did what it could".

Klopp told reporters at the AXA training center in Liverpool on Friday that club officials had done their best in talks to renew Mo Salah's contract, adding, "No, we can't do more... that's how it is."

He added, "I don't think it is about the conversations, as much as it is about Salah's decision... I think the club did what it could do."

And he continued, "From my point of view, it looks exactly as it should be at this moment... There has been no development, there is no signature, no rejection or anything else."

And the Reds coach concluded his speech about Salah's future by saying: "So we just have to wait... We should not rush in this case."

The file of Salah's contract renewal raises the concerns of the Liverpool fans, who want him to continue with the club, while it seems that the negotiations between the two parties are stalled until the time.

Mohamed Salah's contract with Liverpool is scheduled to expire at the end of next season (June 2023).
