A coach apologizes for training a Syrian team 5 days after his arrival

Coach Maher Bahri formed a strange phenomenon in the Syrian Premier League, after he apologized for training the Jableh Club team, just five days after the coach arrived at the club.

And the "Syrian Mondial" website confirmed that coach Maher Bahri, who is coming from the Lebanese Nejmeh coach, apologized to the Jableh club management, as soon as he saw the team's players' performance, just five days after his arrival at the club.

The site stated that "the Jableh administration agreed with coach Maher Bahri to take over the technical management tasks of the football team, which is preparing for its first participation in the AFC Cup as the champion of the Syrian Cup, before Bahri demanded to postpone signing the contract, until after watching the performance of Jableh players in the league matches, except He quickly apologized after Jableh's loss to Hittin 1-3 in the third round of the Syrian Premier League.

The website based its report on press statements by coach Bahri to the Syrian media, in which he said: "There was a verbal agreement with the Jableh administration that the Hattin match would be an opportunity to evaluate the team's performance on the ground, before deciding whether to sign the contract or not," noting that the situation The team is difficult, especially with its presence in a strong group in the Asian Cup, and that there will be no harmony in the team if it is supported by six or seven players for the Asian merit, because there is not enough time for the new elements to enter the team's atmosphere.

The Jableh administration had reached an agreement with Maher Bahri, to be the third coach to coach its team in the current season, succeeding coach Ali Barakat and Ziad Shaab, who resigned in the 12th week of the gold stage, but the negative results continued with Jableh losing his home against Al Wahda in Round 14 with two clean goals, and was followed in round 15, and in front of my view of Bahri, in the loss against Hittin, it was enough for the coach to apologize to the club’s management for taking over the team’s coaching duties.

It is noteworthy that Maher Bahri decided last month to terminate his contract by mutual consent with the Lebanese club Al-Najma, and the coach had previously had professional experiences with the Syrian club, most notably his leadership of Tishreen Club to win the Premier League title in its last two editions 2020 and 2021.

Next Friday, Jableh will receive Al-Harjala team, in a decisive match for the two teams to break their partnership at the level of ninth place and a balance of 17 points for each, one point different from the tenth-placed Al-Ittihad team, which is struggling to escape from the relegation centers of the second degree, especially since the Premier League system allows the participation of 14 clubs, and at the end of its season, the last four clubs (from 11 to 14) are relegated to the second division.
