Due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, it was a long and dramatic journey to get to the Paralympics in Beijing - but there was never any hesitation to make the trip.

The Ukrainian Paralympics saw it as a given to fight for the Ukrainian flag at the championship.

They won 29 medals, of which eleven were gold, and thus stood for their best winter game ever.

But success is overshadowed by anxiety.

Will the Paralympics be able to return to Ukraine?

- They are worried about what happens after the games, they do not know what to do exactly.

They will fly to Warsaw via Istanbul after the closing ceremony.

The team will stay in Warsaw and decide what to do.

Those who come from, for example, Kyiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Mykolajiv, they will not be able to get home, says Lee Reaney, journalist at the Kyiv Post, to SVT Sport.

Hryhory Vovchynsky won five medals, two of them gold, for Ukraine during the championship.

He has a hard time absorbing what is happening in Ukraine.

- It's inconceivable.

It must be stopped.

The war in Ukraine must be stopped.

What does Russia want us in Ukraine?

We are a free people.

We've never had a fight with anyone,
