28 players in the final list of the UAE national team in preparation for Iraq

The UAE national football team will inaugurate its preparations tomorrow at the sub-field of Al Nasr Club in Dubai, in preparation for traveling to Iraq on the 22nd of this month to face the Iraqi team on the 24th of the same month in the ninth and penultimate round in the decisive round of qualifying for the 2022 World Cup.

The national team’s gathering will witness the first appearance of the new Argentine coach, Rodolfo Arubarina, who was contracted last February to succeed the former Dutch coach Marvik with a contract that extends until the 2023 Asian Cup, while the technical staff of the team announced the final list that included 28 players out of 41 who had been selected in Expanded list.

The list included goalkeepers Khaled Issa, Muhammad Al Shamsi and Majid Nasser, and players: Bandar Al Ahbabi, Mahmoud Khamis, Abdulaziz Heikal, Muhammad Marzouk, Walid Abbas, Khalifa Al Hammadi, Muhammad Al Attas, Khaled Al Hashemi, Shaheen Abdul Rahman, Muhammad Al Balushi, Tahnoun Al Zaabi, Ismail Matar, Abdullah Al-Naqbi, Majid Hassan, Abdullah Ramadan, Ali Salmin, Majed Rashid, Cayo Canedo, Khalil Ibrahim, Hareb Abdullah, Yahya Al-Ghassani, Ali Mabkhout, Ali Saleh, Tigali, Sultan Adel.

Thirteen players were excluded from the national team list, they are Ali Khasif, Adel Al Hosani, Muhammad Barghash, Ahmed Jamil, Abdullah Idris, Khaled Al Dhanhani, Ahmed Berman, Bilal Youssef, Hussein Mahdi, Muhammad Juma Eid, Zayed Al Ameri, Yahya Nader and Khaled Bawazeer.
