Esperance defeats Etoile and maintains the lead in the "African Champions"

Esperance achieved a valuable victory against its host Etoile du Sahel and beat them 2-0 in the exclusive Tunisian summit that brought the two teams together today at "Hammadi Al-Aqrabi" stadium in the fourth round of the CAF Champions League Group C matches.

Abdel Qader Badran opened the scoring for Esperance in the 66th minute, then Muhammad Ali Bin Ramadan added the team's second goal in the 77th minute.

Esperance's tally rose to eight points at the top of the group, with a goal difference in front of Algeria's Chabab Belouizdad, who beat Botswana's Gwaneng Galaxy 4-1 yesterday in the same round, which had tied with Esperance 1-1.


While ES Sahel, who had tied with Esperance at the latter's stadium in the last round, froze at three points in third place, followed by Guaneng Galaxy in fourth place with one point.
