The three-mile race at Holmenkollen became Therese Johaug's last World Cup race in Norway.

When SVT Sport asked her who will dominate when she is gone, the answer was: Jonna Sundling.

- Jonna is definitely someone who next season can be involved and fight for the World Cup ball.

With her achievements in sprint and now at a distance, she has taken great strides.

It's great fun to watch.

She can become a new queen, Johaug said.

Sundling thinks it's funny that the Norwegian praises her.

- It's great fun to hear of course, then time will tell what happens but those are nice words from her, the 27-year-old says to SVT Sport.

Why do you think she mentions your name?

- No, but now I have still done well in sprint and distance and that is probably why, says Sundling.

"Touches a lot"

The reactions after the third place in Holmenkollen have been many, says Sunding.

- You have received very nice comments and congratulations.

It was an incredibly good race considering that it was 30 km and I usually perform best in sprint.

All greetings touch a lot so it's really fun.

That Johaug is retiring, how does that affect the World Cup?

- It may affect the mass starts a little, there may not be someone who pulls away and just takes home the victory.

She will be missed.

It will be a void, she is one of the best.

It's always boring when a competitor quits, because you still want competitors to have someone to compete against.

Every thing has its time and she has been with us for a long time, so at the same time it is understandable that the circle must be closed.
