Finally a victory for Julia Simon this season.
The 25-year-old biathlete signed the 4th victory of her career, beating German Vanessa Voigt by 11 seconds and Norwegian Karoline Knotten by just under 13 seconds.
Returning empty-handed from the Beijing Olympics on an individual level but with the money for the mixed relay, Simon made a shooting error (9/10) but made up for it on the track thanks to her speed on skis.
Roiseland still top of the World Cup
Besides Simon, Anaïs Chevalier-Bouchet was the other Frenchwoman to distinguish herself by finishing in the Top 10 (7th).
Four races from the end of the season, the lead in the general classification of the World Cup remains firmly occupied by the Norwegian Marte Olsbu Roeiseland, who finished 10th.
