• Magdalena Fjällström, 27, Sweden

The Swede won gold in the junior WC 2013, but a very successful step to senior has failed for Fjällström.

The best place in the World Cup came in Slovenian Kranjska Gora 2020, when she finished tenth in the slalom.

During the last and final season, she has neither qualified nor finished in five slalom world cup competitions.

• Carlo Janka, 35 years old, Switzerland


He was the best between 2009 and 2010. Then he first won World Cup gold in Val d'Isère in giant slalom, and the following year at the Olympics in Vancouver he also became Olympic champion in giant slalom.

In the World Cup he has won eleven times, and another 17 times he has had to stand on the podium.

• Kjetil Jansrud, 36 years old, Norway


The Norwegian speed star has won both World Cup and Olympic gold in downhill and super-G respectively.

He also has two World Cup silver, two Olympic bronze and two Olympic silver where he took the first in Vancouver 2010. In the World Cup, there were a total of 55 podium places, of which 23 wins.

• Manfred Mölgg, 39 years old, Italy


19 seasons after his debut in the World Cup, the Italian who has won three World Cup medals, one silver and one bronze in slalom and one bronze in giant slalom, finishes.

In the World Cup, Mölgg won on three occasions.

Manfred's sister Manuela drove to a podium 14 times during her career.

• Emelie Wikström, 29 years old, Sweden


Wikström announced in early October 2021 that she was leaving.

The slalom skier never managed to make it to the podium, she ended up in fourth place in two World Cup competitions.

Cross country skis

• Dario Cologna, 35, Switzerland


He reaped great success, and was proven to be a championship skier of rank.

Especially at 15 kilometers.

In three straight Olympics - 2010, 2014, 2018 - he won gold in the distance.

And in Sochi 2014, he also became Olympic champion in skiathlon.

The Swiss also became world champion in skiathon 2013. In the World Cup there were 73 podium places, where he was the winner 26 times.

• Niklas Dyrhaug, 34 years old, Norway


The Norwegian has two World Cup gold medals from 2015 and 2017, both in relay.

When he has ridden individually, it has become a World Cup bronze in 15 km.

This summer, he joined Martin Johnsrud Sundby's long distance team, but he dropped out.

In the World Cup, he first crossed the finish line in the hunt start in Ruka.

• Hanna Falk, 32 years old, Sweden


Already last year she did her last races in the World Cup, and continued instead in the long-distance race cup.

But injuries and lack of motivation mean that she now chooses to end her elite career.

In the World Cup in cross-country skiing, there were four wins, all in sprint.

• Therese Johaug, 33, Norway


For one of the sport's greatest ever, this season was the last.

The Norwegian, who took her first three individual Olympic golds in Beijing, also has four individual World Cup golds.

She has won 81 races in the World Cup, where she has started in 245. In total, there have been 148 podium places (she can take more at this weekend's World Cup competitions in Falun).

In August 2017, she was suspended for 18 months for doping and missed, among other things, the Olympics in Pyeongchang 2018.

Biathlon

• Erik Lesser, 33 years old, Germany


In the 2015 World Cup in Kontiolahti, he was behind the German relay gold, and in addition Lesser himself won a gold medal in the hunt start before the Russian Anton Sjipulin and the Norwegian Tarjei Bö.

In the Olympics he finished second in the distance in 2014, and in the Olympic relay he has taken a bronze and a silver.

In the World Cup he has one win, three second places and six third places.
