Inter Milan showed a strong determination to return in the result and grab the qualification ticket, and was the most dangerous in the offensive side for long periods, especially in the first half.

Liverpool also created many opportunities in an effort to enhance its progress, but it suffered from the defensive cohesion of Inter Milan, and luck had it on more than one occasion, especially when the two posts tackled two dangerous balls from the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah.
