A boiling Skellefteå Kraft Arena framed Tuesday's Norrlands derby, which offered hot emotions and goal explosions.

However, the first period was goalless.

But 20 seconds into the second period, Skellefteå broke the goal zero when Melker Karlsson found the net behind Joel Lassinantti.

Skellefteå was then close to extending their lead through Albin Sundsvik but after a quick game turn of Luleå they created a three against two position where the first shot was covered and then Julius Honka could shoot in 1-1.

Luleå could then take the lead after Linus Omark nicely found Juhani Tyrväinen who made no mistake, 1-2 Luleå.

In the middle of the third period, the home team equalized when Linus Karlsson got a perfect pass that he could only shoot in.

Pontus Andreasson made it 2-3 minutes later 2-3 after cutting in numerical superiority.

Annoyed between the teams

Skellefteå pressed and with three minutes left of the match, the goalkeeper was taken out for one last jerk.

The home team was close to equalizing with the minute left but Lassinantti stood up well.

Luleå could then make 2-4 which was also the end result.

In the last seconds of the match, Linus Karlsson and Linus Fröberg were shown out after irritation and after the final signal, hot feelings also erupted between both teams, where all players went in for different confrontations.

- It's nice to put a little pressure on them before the final stage of the series.

Really nice with a win here and fun that the powerplay game works, says Pontus Andreasson.

Luleå now goes up on the same points as Skellefteå in the table.
