For the past month, Jérôme Boateng has missed OL's rise to power in Ligue 1. Established during the worrying defeat to Monaco (2-0), the former Bayern Munich manager has since disappeared from the eleven of departure from Lyon for various reasons.
Excluded from the group by Peter Bosz before the match against Nice (2-0) on February 12, the German international was then ill in Lens (1-1), before remaining glued to the bench against Losc (0-1 ) and only take part in the last 19 minutes on Friday in Lorient (1-4).
In his new four-man defense, Peter Bosz clearly favors Thiago Mendes, yet the usual midfielder, even if he assures that there is "no problem" with Jérôme Boateng.
While his immense European experience could have been invaluable for the round of 16 first leg of the Europa League, Wednesday (6:45 p.m.) in Porto, Olympique Lyonnais has just announced his withdrawal.

Jérôme Boateng suffers from muscle pain and is therefore not part of the group of 22 players who flew to Portugal on Tuesday, just like Sinaly Diomande and Rayan Cherki, also injured.
Back in Ligue 1 in Lorient, for the first time in a year and his serious left knee injury, Jeff Reine-Adélaïde could on the other hand continue in Porto.
