The results of the 22nd round of the First Division League, which was held on Saturday and Sunday, increased the intensity of the competition to qualify for the ADNOC Professional League.

The competition was limited to the leader Dibba Al Fujairah 55 points, Al Arabi 53, Al Bataeh 46, Dibba Al Hisn 44, and Al Hamriya 43, eight rounds before the end of the competitions.

The matches of the round resulted in the victory of Dibba Al Fujairah over Al Dhaid with a clean goal, and with the same result, Al Hamriya beat Masfout and Al Rams over “Gulf FC”, while Dibba Al Hisn beat Al Arabi 2-1, Al Bataeh over Al Jazira Al Hamra 5-1, and Masafi beat Al Taawun 2- 1, and even on "Siti" with the same result.

Mathematically, Dibba Al Fujairah became the closest to obtaining the first card, due to the difference in points between it and the third-placed player Al Bataeh, which is nine points, and Dibba Al Fujairah played fewer matches.

For his part, a member of the Board of Directors of Dibba Al-Fujairah Club, director of the first team, Juma Al-Abdouli, confirmed that the competition has intensified and the matches have become technically strong, and things are not settled, which makes all possibilities valid.

He told "Emirates Today": "In line with the current technical situation, the keenness and focus of Dibba Al-Fujairah must be greater and stronger than before, and we must continue to be serious until the last round to officially ensure the ascent."

He added, "Because we do not want to repeat what happened to us in 2013, when the team was in the lead all season, but lost the opportunity to qualify for professionals by the difference in the confrontations with Fujairah, we will not celebrate until the qualification is official."

He continued, "There are five teams competing for two cards, and all teams have strong chances, and there are matches in which the competitors face each other, which gives their points a more prominent impact in the ranking table."
