Noriko Kamiyama, who participated in the Beijing Paralympics for the first time at the age of 49, slipped through to the end with a super-G giant slalom that she liked the most, and showed a high sense of stability on a difficult course.

Kamiyama, the oldest Japanese national team player in this tournament, had a paralysis on the left half of his body due to suffering from fistula in his 20s, received a disability certificate at the age of 38, and started skiing at the age of 41. I did.

I had a breast cancer operation six years ago, and my left foot got stuck in a wheelchair. I am competing in a skiing class.

When I was 49 years old, I stood on the stage of the Paralympic Games, which I wanted to aim for someday after seeing the 1998 Nagano Games, but even after I entered Beijing, I said, "Don't be swallowed by the unique atmosphere." He says he is spending his time at his own pace.

In the downhill on the 5th, he finished in 8th place, and on the 6th, he said he liked it the most.

"I was thrilled when I was previewing the course, but when I started, I enjoyed slipping," he said.

I am facing the Paralympic Games for the first time with a belief in my own pace, saying, "I wish I could make a slip that would make people with similar experiences, disabilities, illnesses, and ages, even a little more positive."
