Sara Hector had 16 hundredths to spare on the Frenchwoman Tessa Worley when she went out in the second run.

She had a bit of a hard time getting the skis fixed at the beginning of the ride, but lost steadily.

In the finish she was third, beaten by Tessa Worley and Federica Bringnone.

Third place was Hector's sixth for this season and she continues to lead the giant slalom cup.

It was also Hector's ninth podium place in the World Cup overall.
