Many international sports federations have stopped Russian participation, due to Russia's war against Ukraine.
But the International Motorsports Federation, Fia, has guarded to allow Russian and Belarusian drivers to compete, but under a neutral flag.
First F1 season 2021
Despite this, F1 team Haas announced today to terminate the contract with the 23-year-old Russian Nikita Mazepin.
Mazepin made his first F1 season in 2021, when he finished in 21st and last place in the World Cup table, after a 17th place at best.
"Like the rest of the Formula One community, we are shocked and saddened by the invasion of Ukraine and wish a speedy and peaceful end to the conflict," they wrote in a statement on Twitter.
