Al-Ahly of Saudi Arabia sacks its coach, Besnik Hasi, and the agreement contracts with Carteron

Al-Ittifaq defeated its guest Al-Ahly 1-0 at Prince Muhammad bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam on Friday in the 23rd round of the Saudi Football Championship.

As a result of the loss, Al-Ahly decided to dismiss its Albanian coach, Bisnik Hasi, and issued a statement saying, "The Al-Ahly club's board of directors decided to end his relationship with the club's first football coach, Bisnik Hasi."

The club management thanked the coach for the time he spent training the first football team, wishing him success in his next training stations.

On the other hand, Ahmed Al-Hanfush, the coach of the temporary agreement who succeeded the sacked Serbian Vladan Milojevic, succeeded in his first experience with the team and led him out of the relegation positions temporarily.

After the end of the match, Al-Ettifaq administration also announced its contract with French coach Patrice Carteron, to lead the first team.

The Frenchman will lead the team's training on Sunday evening, in preparation for the match against Al-Nasr, in the twenty-fourth round of the Saudi League.

Carteron was coaching the Egyptian team, Zamalek, before the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mortada Mansour, decided to dispense with his services.

Al-Ettifaq raised its score to 23 points, to climb to the thirteenth place in the league standings, with a game postponed against Al Hilal, while Al-Ahly’s balance froze at 25 points from 23 matches, in the eleventh place.
