Due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the International Ski Federation (Fis) decided to move the World Cup final from Tiumen.

They looked for replacement places, and Östersund was on the agenda, but no one was found.

This will be the end of the World Cup in Falun next weekend.

"Despite great efforts and interest from various national ski federations, we have not managed to replace the World Cup final with any other organizer," Fis writes in a press release.

Today's announcement means that Maja Dahlqvist has won the women's sprint cup.

What remains of the World Cup are the three- and five-mile races in Holmenkollen as well as a classic sprint and a distance race in Falun.
