Ibn Mortada Mansour encourages Al-Ahly in only one case!

Ahmed Mortada Mansour, a member of the Zamalek club’s board of directors, revealed that he does not encourage Al-Ahly in his foreign participation, but there is only one case that may make him support him, when his matches witness tense events with the opponent, stressing that he cannot encourage the team that represents Egypt, as he put it.

The son of the president of Zamalek said in statements to the “Primo” program on the Egyptian “Ten” channel: “What Ahmed Hossam Mido (former Zamalek player) said about encouraging Al-Ahly in the continental championships is not to blame, I personally do not encourage him in the continental championships, but sometimes When his matches witness tense events with the opponent, I tend to encourage the team that represents Egypt.”

The meeting touched on many topics that occupy the sports scene in Egypt, and Ahmed Mortada responded to the program’s questions: “I have all respect for Captain Sayed Abdel Hafeez (Al-Ahly’s director of football), but I hope he calms down a little in his statements, the country needs stability and work calmly.”

He added: "Zamalek does not need to include any players from Al-Ahly, its traditional rival. At the present time, I do not see that Zamalek needs any player from Al-Ahly. Our team includes a group of distinguished players."

He continued, "I was close to joining Ramadan Sobhi (former Al-Ahly player) to Zamalek seven years ago. Ahmed Samir, his colleague at the time, told me that there was a problem in his contract with Al-Ahly."

Regarding the return of French coach Patrice Carteron, who left a few days ago by mutual consent with the Zamalek administration, Ahmed Mortada Mansour said: “Everything is possible,” noting that Portuguese Josevaldo Ferreira is the best foreign coach in the history of Zamalek.

And about the leader of Zamalek, Mahmoud Abdel Razek, "Shikabala", Ahmed Mortada said: "Shikabala is a great player, who has been greatly wronged and wronged himself. I recently told him that he deserved to play for Barcelona."
