Before the Paralympics, the alpine star makes his debut as one of Sweden's biggest medal jumps.

When SVT Sport reaches the 21-year-old, who is recharging before tonight's downhill race, she is motivated.

- I'll just run my race as best I can.

We take the race as they come, some medals would have been nice, she says.

According to Årsjö, the trip to Beijing has gone very well.

- Everything went very well, there were no problems.

But of course you got tired when it was many days, where you also had to turn everything around (in time).

Where you could not sleep.

"I suffer with her"

The war in Ukraine raises questions on many different levels.

Sport is no exception, where many different trips have taken place in the past week.

The Russian Varvara Vorontjikhina, who came second after Årsjö in paraslalom in Lillehammer in January, has been stopped from competing at the Paralympics.

Is the chance now increasing for the Swedish medal jump?

- I do not think so much about it.

It's sad for her that she is not allowed to go of course.

I'm suffering with her.

Then there will be less race on the whole, you want all the girls to fight, she says.

But that it is strict in the Paralympics bubble is not something Ebba Årsjö thinks is bad.

- Of course there are a lot of rules because it is corona.

But it's just fine, that's the way it should be.

You make the best of the situation, says the 21-year-old.

"Very fun to be here"

How's the mood down there?

- It's on top.

It's very fun to be here.

You get a lot of energy from just being here, it shows in the gang, she says.

How is the support?

-It is clear that it is fun when people cheer on one.

I've never had so many people around me, it's totally sick.

I get a physiotherapist, psychologist, lots of coaches, everyone from the squad is here.

Everything you can think of.

It is really good support, Årsjö concludes.

Ebba Årsjö makes her debut in the Paralympics during the night until Saturday, 03.00 Swedish time.
