The search for a ticket to the European Championships continues for the Swedish handball ladies.

In the autumn, they started the qualifiers with two straight victories and this week two meetings with Serbia await.

The first was lost.

Sweden - which among other things had national team returnees Clara Monti Danielsson and Kirstin Thorleifsdóttir in the team - fell 24-21 after a dramatic match in Zrenjanin.

Got a dream start

Serbia got off to a dream start and led 7-3 early.

But the Swedes struggled and were down 9-10 at the break.

In the second half, however, Serbia decided.

Much thanks to sharp play from goalkeeper Jovana Risovic.

It is noteworthy that the Swedish star Nathalie Hagman took great responsibility and scored ten goals in the match.

On Saturday, Sweden will play against Serbia in Karlskrona.
