The official website of the Confederation of African Football made a big mistake against Moroccan club Raja Casablanca after describing it as the Algerian team in the news it published after its victory over Horoya of Guinea with a clean goal in the group stage of the African Champions League.
The Moroccan national newspaper said that the African Union published on its website the following statement: "Algerian sports club Raja remained the team that scored 100% victories after the third day of group competitions in the African Champions League," which angered Raja, which has a broad base in Morocco.
Raja has achieved remarkable results in the African Champions League this season, as it leads its group with three victories at the expense of South Africa's Amazulu, Algeria's ES Setif and Horoya Conakry of Guinea.
The newspaper commented on the CAF error: "Although Raja Casablanca has a long history with its many African participations, whether in the Champions League or in the Confederation Cup, this did not satisfy him in front of CAF to make a grave mistake against him! It called the Algerian team."
