On the afternoon of March 2, the Beijing Winter Paralympics Tinder Gathering Ceremony was held in the Temple of Heaven Park. Jiu Road Tinder arrived under the escort of Tinder escorts, and the "Nine Heavens of Fire" gathered together.

The Beijing Winter Paralympic Games has a total of nine routes, which are collected from the birthplace of the Paralympic Games - Mandeville, England, and eight routes from the Beijing, Yanqing, and Zhangjiakou competition areas, covering schools, communities, libraries and other landmarks for the disabled, as well as historical Cultural landmarks, modern science and technology parks, etc.

The eight city fires are the "Fire of Light" collected from the Beijing School for the Blind, the "Fire of Mutual Aid" collected from the warm homes of Wangjing Street, the "Fire of Hope" from the China Braille Library, and the "Fire of Origin" from the Grand Canal Waterway Terminal. "Fire", the "fire of peace" of the ancient Great Wall of Badaling, the "fire of 'hydrogen' cleanliness" in Zhangjiakou Chuangba Park, the "fire of civilization" in Huangdi City of Zhangjiakou, and the last road "Xia'ao" collected from the Tiantan Yuanqiu the fire".

At 1:00 p.m. on the same day, at the Temple of Heaven, Tai Lihua, head of the China Disabled People's Art Troupe and vice-chairman of the China Special Arts Association, held a fire-picking stick. Following the traditional way of gathering fire in ancient Greece, he used a concave mirror to collect sunlight and successfully ignited the fire. Collect the fire stick and collect the last way of fire - "Xiaoao's Fire".

In an interview with the media, Tai Lihua said that collecting fire is even more nervous than being on stage, because not every time it goes smoothly, and she has practiced many times before.

"I hope that through tinder collection, the Paralympic athletes will feel the enthusiasm that everyone gives them."

Set "Nine Days of Fire" to ignite the dream of "Flying".

After the last fire was successfully collected, representatives from all walks of life, such as outstanding disabled athletes and the China Disabled Persons' Federation, held fire sticks and boarded the rostrum with the nine fires at 3:00 p.m. The ceremonial tinder platform will gather together to generate the official tinder of the Beijing 2022 Winter Paralympics.

After the gathering ceremony of Tinder, Tinder continued to carry out the torch relay in Tiantan Park with the theme of "Fire in the Nine Heavens".

Wheelchair curler Chen Jianxin, who helped China achieve the "zero breakthrough" in the Olympic gold medal at the PyeongChang Winter Paralympics, is the first torchbearer at the Temple of Heaven.

"I feel that the torch has ignited my 'heart fire'." Chen Jianxin said, passing the torch encouraged him to achieve another success in the Winter Paralympics at his doorstep.

It is understood that there are a total of 565 torchbearers participating in this torch relay, of which 21% are disabled people, and there are many people who are enthusiastic about helping the disabled.

The Torch Relay of the Winter Paralympics also conveys the power of technology to change life.

Torchbearer Jia Hongguang with upper limb disability put on a domestic intelligent bionic hand. With his thumb turned inward, he held the torch firmly, strutted and handed over the torch to the next torchbearer.

Jia Hongguang introduced to reporters that the smart hand can realize motion control by collecting and processing the electromyographic and neuroelectric signals generated by human muscle movement, and holding the torch flexibly and naturally makes him feel the help of state-of-the-art technology and manufacturing to disabled groups.

In particular, the torch relay was also interspersed with people with disabilities using upper and lower limb-assisted exoskeleton robots to carry out the torch relay.

Shao Haipeng, who completed the torch relay with the help of robots, told reporters that he was very excited at the moment of the successful ignition.

"Technology has helped us get out of wheelchairs and have a better life. I only use 10% of my strength, and the rest 90% are driven by robots."

From the 3rd to the 4th, the torch will continue to pass at Zhangjiakou Citizen Square, Chongli Taiwu Ski Resort, Nuanquan Ancient Town in Yuxian County, Huailai Guanting Reservoir Wetland Park, Beijing Expo Park, and Beijing Disabled Persons Cultural and Sports Guidance Center. .
