Two people from the curling national team will be assigned as flag bearers during the inauguration of the Paralympics on Friday.
"It is with pride that I can present our flag bearers who will lead the Swedish squad into the games," says squad leader Niclas Grön in a press release.
- Viljo (Petersson Dahl) has since his Paralympic debut in 2018 had an incredible development and has with his confidence led his national team to great success.
Kristina Ulander is doing her third Paralympics in Beijing and has experience and routine that is invaluable in the Swedish team.
Took World Cup silver
Both Petersson Dahl and Ulander were present when the curling team took World Cup silver in October, in the same arena in which they will now play during the Paralympics.
They both feel proud to be appointed flag bearers and thus go in front of the Swedish troupe during the inauguration.

The Paralympics will be inaugurated on Friday and the competitions will start on Saturday.
